Can you hear me?

So I'm a teacher and a doer. Is that hard to understand? People are convinced that what you do for a job is your identity. For me it's not the whole picture.
I love writing and recording music. I have a cd called Orville that you can buy at cdbaby.com
For mp3 downloads of hi-fi studio creations and lo-fi demos go to danseiden.com
I love teaching. It's great to talk about music with students.....whole notes and half notes, Bach, Bob Dylan. It's great when it leads to life lessons. With small children, it's awesome to see them throw themselves into a song or movement totally and utterly. I hope to be an older friend to my kids.
I've been playing guitar and singing since I was eleven. I think I have something special to offer. I don't need or want to be a star. I just want to communicate. This blog will be my way to share what I go through as an artist and a person.

Hey!!! Is anyone out there? CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Sometimes I think every artist feels like a tree falling in the woods. Trust me this, a tree falling anywhere makes a sound, it just makes absolutely no difference (so I cleared that one up). I do find that I am jealous of anyone in the public eye no matter how stupid they are. Like those morons on the tv reality shows. This can't be healthy. I want what's mine. That doesn't mean money or stupid fame. I just want a modicum of attention for what I truly do best and truly do well.
